TutoTod (Tutorials for Toddlers) is an educational iPad App that offers parents ideas and detailed steps on how to spend quality time with their children. The App offers 49 arts and crafts tutorials for children, sorted and selected according to the material a user has at home.  

Simple „projects“ can be finished in 5 minutes, and more complicated ones take about 30 minutes.

TutoTod is intended for parents of toddlers who may or may not have any experience with arts and crafts.

TutoTod may also be useful to parents of older children, family members, babysitters, daycare, kindergarten and elementary school teachers, children psychologists, counselors, therapists, parents of children with special needs, etc.

Some use it as a tool for stimulation and development of own ideas.

According to our research (still in progress – see the survey) more than 450 parents told us that they look for something that develops their children's creativity.

Doing arts and crafts is, they believe, a great way to achieve that. Parents who would like to do more artistic activities with their children, but often do not, quote the following reasons: lack of ideas, lack of time, lack of adequate materials, belief in their own lack of creativity.

Every tutorial offers the estimated time needed for making a particular arts and crafts project. Knowing estimated time is useful for planning, but also as an insight into how demanding a particular tutorial is.

During different steps or stages you will see tips connected to motivating a child or to processes that can enhance the experience and get the maximum out of each activity.

In this way, the time spent between a user (parent) searching for an idea and the actual start of the activity is measured in just seconds.

All tutorials show easy steps in the form of pictures and short texts, and do not require any previous experience.
